Loading Dock Equipment

In Overhead Door Company of Central Jersey, we offer a wide array of pit-style dock levelers as well as edge-of-docks.

A dock leveler is a bridge that covers the gap between a facility and the transport vehicle, protecting both, your products during the loading/unloading and your staff.

Before you purchase a dock leveler, you need to know what dock leveler will work for you. First, you need to pick a type (mechanical, hydraulic, or air-powered dock leveler), then you need to pick the right size, and finally, you need to pick your dock leveler's capacity.

Don't know where to start? We are here for you. Contact us and we will be more than happy to help you make the best decision for you.

Types of Dock Levelers:

Mechanical Dock Levelers by McGuire

Mechanical Dock Levelers (Pit-Style Levelers)

These are economical solutions to basic applications, while still providing strength and durability.
These mechanical dock levelers use a pull chain activation to raise the deck. The operator then simply walks the deck back down to the bed of a trailer or to a stored position.

Hydraulic Dock Levelers (Pit-Style Leveler)

These are the safest loading docks, as they prevent free fall in a truck pull-out situation.
